NEET-PG 2026 Result Declared: NBEMS Releases Scores and Ranks
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially declared the NEET-PG 2026 result, marking an important milestone for thousands of medical graduates seeking admission to postgraduate medical programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.
The NEET-PG 2026 examination was conducted nationwide on 30 August 2026 for admission to MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (Direct 6-Year Courses) and PG Medical Diploma programmes. Following an internal power failure at two test centres at iON Digital Zone, Sitapura, Jaipur, affected candidates were provided with a re-examination on 5 September 2026. A total of 2,63,544 candidates appeared for the examination on 30 August, while 2,416 candidates appeared in the re-examination held in Jaipur.
The result includes candidates’ raw scores and NEET-PG 2026 ranks, with the rank determined on the basis of actual marks obtained and the applicable tie-breaking criteria.
As per the official notification, the qualifying cut-off has been set at 262 marks for General/EWS candidates (50th percentile), 244 marks for General PwBD candidates (45th percentile), and 226 marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates, including PwBD candidates from these categories (40th percentile).
For State Quota seats, the final merit list and category-wise merit lists will be prepared by the respective States and Union Territories according to applicable eligibility criteria, guidelines, regulations and reservation policies. NBEMS has also confirmed that every question from both NEET-PG 2026 papers was reviewed by subject-specialist faculty for technical accuracy, and no question was found to be technically incorrect.
Candidates can download their individual scorecards from the NBEMS website on or after 1 October 2026. The scorecards will remain available for download for six months from the date of issuance, after which they will no longer be hosted on the website. Candidates have therefore been advised to preserve their scorecards for future reference.
